ARC Update

At its last meeting, the VGCA (Master) Architectural Review Committee adopted a new Handbook for ARC Members.  The committee's members worked to develop the Handbook to ensure that there was a degree of continuity as new members joined the committee, replacing others who had resigned or moved.

The Handbook is a reference document and includes some historical information about Victor Gardens,  design guidelines, application forms for new home building, other forms, and various references to the governing documents (used as source documents).  Each of the ARC's members was also issued a copy of A Field Guide to American Houses by Virginia & Lee McAlester.  This well regarded book helps the ARC's members identify elements of good home design and the "preferred styles" referenced in Victor Gardens design guidelines.

Many pages, including the ARC page on victorgardens.org has been updated to include this new information.

The Handbook may be viewed/downloaded via this link: http://victorgardensnews.org/files/arc/vgca_arc_member_handbook.pdf
