Grantaire Green Design Approved - New Common Space for Residents

Victor Gardens Community Association's common area known as "Grantaire Green" is a few steps closer to completion. In recent months, Landscape Committee Chair Tony Schwab, Goetz Landscape, the Master Board/ARC, Phil and Dawn Primeau worked together developing a landscape plan. It includes bench seating, planting beds, shrubs, perennial plants, turf grass, trees, and irrigation system. Currently the area is undeveloped and bordered on all sides by Grantaire Lane in Victor Gardens Single Family Village.
Neighborhood Development Partners, LLC, and Ron Mehl in particular, have been a great help in this process too. They'll play a key role in the project's construction following the expected approval by Hugo City Hall.
It's hoped that by the end of summer installation will be completed on the project. The location's great for the Association as it's just steps away from the Clearwater Creek Trail and the newly built footbridge. Bench seating will provide a great view and a resting place for trail users.
UPDATE: 7/16/10 The City of Hugo approved the plan.

Potential SFV Builder - Colfax Companies

Last night at the Victor Gardens Single Family Village Board Meeting, Ron Mehl explained that his company, Neighborhood Development Partners, LLC is working cooperatively with a few builders to renew interest in the SFV's remaining lots. Colfax Companies is one of those builders.
Colfax has installed a sign on the corner of Victor Hugo Blvd. and Garden Way, near the Val Jean Park's tennis courts. The home pictured on the sign has not been submitted for Master ARC review. Any new home in Victor Gardens will need to be reviewed by the ARC. The hope is that the sign will provide contact information for potential buyers, and open the door towards new construction in the SFV.

NDP Will Complete Some Unfinished Developer Projects

Ron Mehl, Single Family Village Board Member and Neighborhood Development Partners Inc.'s representative has reported that NDP will install, at their expense, two remaining unbuilt postal stations and Grantaire Lane cul-de-sac outlot landscaping (grading, sprinklers, sod, trees). Construction will likely begin in Spring 2009.  According to Mr. Mehl, installing new boulevard trees will be the responsibility of builders.

NDP Off to a Good Start

Neighborhood Development Partners LLC, the company marketing 26 lots in Victor Gardens East, began mowing its undeveloped properties today.  Maintenance crews worked through a year's worth of tall growth on lots previously owned and neglected by CPDC/POA-Scherer.  This follows their installation of new lot identification signs a few weeks ago.  Residents appreciate NDP's effort to keep our neighborhood looking good.
